今日の作業は、なかなか貴重な仕事だ。アパレルブランドの顧客向け販売会にあわせた作品展の展示作業。作品は大型の写真で、しっかりと額装されている。少々重いが問題になるほどではなく、設営もしやすい。特殊なのは、正午に作品搬入、その日の午後５時までに設営し、照明調整やキャプションまで完了、すぐに販売会、そして午後９時に終了、そのまま撤収、作品も再梱包のうえ発送準備まで行うというもの。待ったなし、時間のロスを許さない、厳しい現場です。設営については途中までは順調だったのだが、壁面が一部、ツラが出ていないため予定していたドッコが使えず苦労する。なんとか時間には間に合わせたのだが、思い返せば現場調査を省略していた。道具そろえてくればなんとかなるやろ、とたかをくくっていた。おおいに反省。お客さんにもヒヤヒヤさせてしまい、不本意である。 もうすぐ撤去撤収の時間。最後はすっきりと締めくくろう。 Today, unusually I installed the photograph exhibition along with the fashion brand clothes. It was very special. Why? Because all of art works and merchandise arrived at noon in the venue, and I had only 5 hours to install 11 big art works which are nicely framed, and the event for their customers start at 5 pm, ending at 9 pm and after that all of art works and others are supposed to be packed again and get ready to be sent out. It was a sever work site. Especially when I found that the wall is not flat enough to hang such a big piece! I am still learning how important the preliminary research before I work on an actual installation.
