8月14日と１５日の2日間、マリノアシティで、ぬいぐるみアーティスト、と呼んでいいのかはさておき、若手アーティスト小柳左和さんと、私の妻徳永恭子が、お客さんから持ってきてもらう古着をつかって、うさぎ、くま、ねこ、とり、なかにはえびなどを作りました。親子によってはオリジナルのデザインをほどこしたり、初日に来て気に入って連日古着を持ち込まれた方もいました。通り過ぎていく人も「くぅぁわいぃ〜！」という声を発しながら、振り返る首がもどらないほど、眺めていました。 屋外で、連日30度をこえる暑さの中の過酷な作業でしたが、作る方もこころなごむお盆の２日間でした。 14th and 15th of August, we had a workshop in Marinoa City FUKUOKA with an artist, Sawa Koyanagi and my wife, Kyoko Tokunaga. They were there to create the stuffed animals made out of used clothes which is brought by public. There were some parents and kids to enjoy to draw their own design of animals and other to come back again on the second day after they really liked the animals which they brought back home on the first day. I really liked to see when those parents and kids are smiling and bring it back home because of the reborn animals made out of their favorite clothes with their deep memories.
