【What is art to you?】アートとは何か？

アートとは何か？と問われたときの答えをいつも用意していたいと思っている。
ちょっと前は「アートはエネルギーだ」と表現した。

最近また考えてみた。それで出した結論は
アートとは、気付かせるもの。
ということ。

何に気付くか、の解は、その対象を見る人のなかにある。
その対象に美を見い出す状況もアートであるだろう。
しかし、対象の中に美だけではない、何かを見つけること、そのこと自体がアートとなりうるだろう。

What is art to you? I have been always wanting to prepare how to answer that question. Sometime ago, I said that art must be an energy.

I have thought it over these days again and now I have come to a new thought which is;
Art is something to make you discover.

What you will discover in the object is already within you.
I would say it is art when you find the beauty in the object.
But not only the beauty in the object itself but an action itself of finding something in it, that could also be called art.
